Fred Gandolfo, MD
Dr. Gandolfo is a board certified gastroenterologist practicing in New York.
He attended medical school at SUNY Stony Brook, then completed internship and residency in internal medicine at New York University. He then remained at NYU to complete gastroenterology fellowship. Dr. Gandolfo has been practicing in Long Island since 2012.
Dr. Gandolfo has been an exercise enthusiast for over 20 years, and believes in the transformative power of consistent positive actions. He feels that working hard one day at a time is the path to health, fitness, success, and happiness.
Dr. Gandolfo knows that many modern diseases can be prevented or cured by consistently following the basic principles of healthy living. He launched MDFITRx in 2020 to educate and inspire people to make these healthy changes in their own lives!
Noreen Vail, PhD
Dr. Vail is a licensed psychologist and certified school psychologist in New York. She received her Bachelor’s degree in psychology from Fordham University and her Master’s and Doctoral degrees in clinical and school psychology from Hofstra University.
Her dissertation, The Effects of a Motivational Program on Glycemic Control, Physical Activity and Weight Loss in Individuals with Type 2 Diabetes Mellitus, helped define the mechanisms necessary to increase patient adherence to a diabetic treatment plan, focusing on the importance of identifying an individual’s personal motivations for lifestyle change.
Since 2007, Dr. Vail has worked as a psychologist in a public school district. In addition she has instructed Masters-level graduate students in the areas of behavioral assessment and theories of personality at the CUNY Queens College Graduate Program in School Psychology.
Being a working mother with two young children, Dr. Vail understands the importance of making time for exercise and healthy eating in her family’s life. She is excited to bring her research-based psychological techniques and her real-world strategies to the MDFITRx program!
